Penile Implants: Penile implant is a prosthetic device that is bendable or inflatable. This method is used when there is a clear medical cause for ED. The surgery lasts about an hour. Possible risks include infection, scar tissue and mechanical failure.
Vacuum: A vacuum constriction device (VCD) is a cylinder with a pump. A ring is placed on the cylinder which, when pumped, creates a vacuum to help the penis become erect. The band can be left on for about 30 minutes. Risks: About 70% effective, penile injury (due to failure to release), bruising.
ED Surgery: Vascular surgery creates a bypass around the blocked arteries that cause ED. This is not a common surgery because it is complex and expensive. Typically, this only recommended for men who have had an injury to the penis. The success rate is 1 out of 20.
Pills: The FDA has approved several medications to help relax muscles and boost blood flow to the penis. They are available under different names. Most of these medications can not be taken if you take nitrates and you must tell your doctor what other medications you are on. They may lower your blood pressure to unsafe levels.
Gainswave: Non-invasive procedure that treats the root cause of ED by increasing blood flow using high frequency pulsed acoustic waves. Gainswave has been medically proven to provide patients with results for 2-3 years. Those with pre-existing health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease are safe to opt for treatment because there are little to no known side effects. There is an increased opportunity for spontaneity with your partner by not having to pop pills and plan for intimacy.
Priapus Shot (P-Shot): The P-shot works by harnessing plasma enriched growth factors or PRP from your blood, and re-injecting it into specific areas of the penis. This safe and effective procedure has been shown to be perfect for those who are having erectile dysfunction due to health concerns such as an enlarged prostate, prostate cancer, surgical side effects, drug side effects, and other health ailments such as diabetes.
While individual results may vary when treating Erectile Dysfunction , you have to decide how much risk you are willing to accept when selecting a treatment for ED.
